Autumn School Holidays Melbourne CBD – Friday 7 April to Sunday 23 April 2023

The Autumn school holidays are always lots of fun and this year the holidays start on Friday 7 April and finish on Sunday 23 April 2023.

Autumn school holiday major events to look forwards to include Easter (Friday 7 April to Monday 10 April 2023) and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (Wednesday 29 March to Sunday 23 April 2023).

Victorian Autumn School Holidays 2023 are from Friday 7 April to Sunday 23 April 2023.

School Holidays 2023 Melbourne – Week 1 (7-16 april)

  • Melbourne International Comedy Festival (Wed 29 Mar – Sun 23 Apr) – comedy events for kids include The Very Big Laugh Out Loud Federation Square.

  • Wildhouse Circus: Party Pooper (Fri 7 Apr – Sun 16 April) – Showcasing Party Pooper; A circus-y reinvention of the classic birthday party, featuring three childish acrobats, partying like it’s past their bedtime!

  • Easter at Queen Victoria Market (Sat 8 Apr – Thu 20 Apr) – Meet the Easter bunny, explore the Market with your kids Passport or take part in the FREE kids school holiday activities.
  • The Greatest Magic Show (Tue 11 Apr – Thu 13 Apr) – This multi-award-winning, sell-out sensation is returning to their hometown of Melbourne for the 2023 Comedy Festival, with more whimsical wonders than ever before!
  • The Greatest Magic Show (Tue 11 Apr – Thu 13 Apr) – a family-friendly magic & circus spectacular starring sam, Justin & the enchanting ringmaster!

Kids will design and create their own stencil that they will cut from acetate and use basic freehand skills and stencilling techniques that they will use to spray-paint a canvas that they will get to keep.
  • Kids Holiday Workshop – Freehand Street Art (Wed 12 Apr – Fri 14 Apr) – This freehand workshop offers an exclusive chance to learn a variety of spraypainting techniques from a renowned street artist right here at the famous Blender Studios.

  • Tracing Shadows (Tue 18 Apr) – Learn an ancient Chinese printmaking technique using everyday materials.
