Easter in Melbourne 2026: Hop To It!

Easter in Melbourne is a magical time for families. As the city comes alive with colourful decorations, festive treats, and exciting activities, thereโ€™s no shortage of ways to celebrate with the kids.

This year there are heaps of family-friendly Easter events happening in Melbourne and surrounds between Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April 2026.

Some events are free, some require tickets and pre-booking โ€“ so hop to it!

From giant Easter egg hunts in stunning gardens to creative workshops, family-friendly theatre shows, and delicious chocolate experiences, a Melbourne Easter offers something for everyone.
