What's on Autumn School holidays – Melbourne North / North-east

  • School holidays at Melbourne Museum (Sat 9 Apr – Mon 25 Apr) – get to know the creatures that thrived in the Cretaceous, become a mini-Triceratops with the Triceratops Masks in the colour of the cretaceous, learn digital skills and create an augmented reality Triceratops. Plus laugh out loud with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and join us to celebrate the ideas, myths and histories of Ancient Greece and it’s influences on contemporary culture
  • The (Very) Big Laugh Out Loud (Fri 1 Apr  – Sat 19 Apr) – World-class street performers and the best physical and musical comedy in da biz.
  • BK Gym & Swim (11 April – 22 April) – Enjoy gymnastics-based activities and games, gymnastics training, or an action packed Ninja Day!
  • Pop-up Skatepark (Mon 11 Apr) – participate in Skate Melbourne's free pop-up skatepark that's run by two qualified skateboard coaches. So bring your board, have a skate, enjoy the ramps and maybe even learn a trick or two.
  • MICF: Trash With A Porpoise (Tue 20 Apr – Sun 24 Apr) – Trash with a Porpoise is a thrilling journey full of puppetry, clowning, song and of course, plenty of Trash!
  • Dinosaur Festival Melbourne (Wed 22 Apr) – A world-class dinosaur exhibition, dinosaur-themed activities, and various amusement rides activation for the whole family.

  • Mini Twitchers Heide (ongoing) – Be a twitcher for a day and spot some beautiful birds in the Heide Sculpture park! Use a map to locate each area where the twelve painted birds are hidden in trees in the sculpture park.

  • Scienceworks (Sat 9 Apr – Mon 25 Apr) – Jump into Autumn Holiday fun at Scienceworks to explore one of the most mysterious and precious resources on earth: water! With live, interactive shows, a curious scavenger hunt, and plenty of other activities, we’ll investigate and celebrate the science and importance of water in our daily lives.
