HOT: The Wizard’s Suite, The Hotel Windsor, Melbourne

The kids and I are big Harry Potter fans so we are most excited when we are invited to spend a spell-binding night at The Windsor Hotel’s exclusive Wizard’s Suite!

Wizards Suite Windor Hotel Melbourne 23

The Windsor Hotel is one of Melbourne’s most iconic hotels, with famous guests including members of royalty and heads of state. Now you can be part of this history by staying in a magical suite which is only a short stroll to the Princess Theatre, home of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

We don our Gryffindor robes and take the train (aka Hogwarts Express) to Parliament Station, which is conveniently on the doorstep of The Windsor Hotel.

There is only one of The Wizard’s Suite, located on the first floor of the hotel in the corner. As we open the door the only word to describe our reaction is *jaw drops*.

Then we start squealing with delight ‘look at this!’ as we fully explore the suite.

The bedroom can accommodate three people maximum (with a roll away bed in addition to the two single beds) so if you need more space you can book a connecting Superior Room. The connecting Superior Room is entered via the same themed entry-way but the room itself is not themed and costs extra. It has the same comfortable and luxurious facilities as The Wizard’s Suite.

Both The Wizard’s Suite and the Superior Room feature a king-size bed which can be split into two single beds, a bathroom with a bath and all toiletries, a walk-in wardrobe with dressing gown/bathrobes, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and kitchenette with mini bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.  Plus your choice from the Pillow Menu – ranging from aromatherapy to massage to posture perfect!

Finally, a note about food. There are loads of family-friendly restaurants and cafes in Melbourne CBD, or stay in and enjoy The Windsor's famous afternoon tea, room service or get food delivered via Uber Eats or Deliveroo.  For breakfast Fawkes travels to Lune Croissanterie for the croissants that are out of this world.
