The Store of Requirement opens today, July 31, which true fans will know is Harry Potter’s birthday.

It is a cosy shop, next to the McDonalds on the corner of Smith Street and Victoria Parade, but you should find it easily…thanks to dressed up Hogwarts fans queuing at the entrance.  Youโ€™d think it was Diagon Alley :)

Inside the wizarding store youโ€™ll find all Australiaโ€™s largest collection of official Harry Potter merchandise and collectables.

Itโ€™s hard to decide between the wands, wallets, bags, robes, figurines, mugs, books and more.

Sadly, they donโ€™t sell Howlers…for that youโ€™ll need to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood.

While youโ€™re browsing take a seat in the back lounge and try a fresh Butter Brew poured straight from the tap.

Itโ€™s a fizzy butterscotch concoction just like Butterbeer (but they canโ€™t call it that thanks to licensing laws).

It is even brewed locally at Craft & Co in Smith Street Collingwood! Note Craft & Co canโ€™t serve Butter Brews…the only place youโ€™ll find it is at  The Store of Requirement. A cup costs $7.50 and with fresh cream $8.95.
