Harry Potter fans rejoice! Melbourne is home to many fun, unique and amazing Harry Potter experiences, starting with the premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child outside of the West End and Broadway and exclusive to Melbourne in Australia.
If you’re a Potterhead then check out my Top 12 Harry Potter themed experiences in Melbourne. Be quick though, some of these experiences will be gone quicker than you can say ‘Expelliarmus!’
The two-part, 5 hour theatrical spectacular Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is one of the hottest tickets in town and Melbourne is the first location outside of London and New York to show the much-lauded play.
At this stage there are tickets right up until December but it’s expected to play at the Princess Theatre for several years. Read my review.
The tickets are not cheap so every week, set your alarms for the ‘Friday Forty’.
Every Friday, 40 tickets for every performance of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the following week will be released via TodayTix for some of the very best seats in the theatre at $40 per part, per ticket ($80 total).
To enter The Friday Forty, click here or download the TodayTix app.
You can enter The Friday Forty at any time from Monday at 12.01AM (AEDT) until 1.00PM (AEDT) every Friday, for performances the following week. At 1PM every Friday the lottery will close, and the winners will be notified between 1.00pm (AEDT) and 5.00pm (AEDT) the same day. Winners must claim their tickets within 1 hour of notification.
Winners pay $40 per part, per ticket ($80 total per person), securing a seat for both Part One and Part Two in consecutive performances the following week.
