1. Harry Potter Play – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
The original two-part show has been reimagined into a one day theatrical spectacular! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is one of the hottest tickets in town and Melbourne is the first location outside of London and New York to show the much-lauded play.
At this stage there are tickets throughout 2022 but it's expected to play at the Princess Theatre for several years. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child review.
The tickets are not cheap, so every week you can join the ‘Friday Forty’ lottery.
Every week 40 tickets for every performance of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the following week are released via TodayTix for some of the very best seats in the theatre at $40.

You can enter The Friday Forty at any time from Monday at 12.01AM (AEDT) until 1.00PM (AEDT) every Friday, for performances the following week. At 1PM every Friday the lottery will close, and the winners will be notified between 1.00pm (AEDT) and 5.00pm (AEDT) the same day. You must claim your tickets within 1 hour of notification.
Winners pay $40 per ticket and are only able to purchase a maximum of two tickets in one transaction. Ticket winners can pick up their tickets at the Box Office on the day of their performance.

4. The Wizards Potion Experience
Pre-register at the The Wizards Potion Experience where you'll get to take part in an immersive potion making and spell casting experience guided by an expert Professor who will teach you the needed spells, incantations and secrets of drinkable elixirs to brew the perfect cocktail concoction!

7. The Wizards Boat Cruise: Melbourne
Popping up on the 14 January 2023 in the Melbourne Docklands is a magical wizarding-themed boat cruise that will take you around the iconic sights of the city as you learn spells, drink magic potions and enjoy a buzzing brunch fit for witches and warlocks!

10. Harry Potter Hogwarts Party Room
The Sun Theatre Yarraville has a Hogwarts Party Room where you can host your next wizardy birthday party or function.
Pre-book your preferred film and event $25 (2D films) $28 (3D film) for a minimum of 12 kids. Children will be assigned a party host and receive a mini popcorn and soft drink combo to enjoy whilst watching the film. The Hogwarts Party Room seats up to 24 and the party food includes, sausage rolls, party pies, fairy bread, potato crisps, soft drink and a lolly bag.

11. Harry Potter Inspired Escape Room
TRAPT has created a Harry Potter-inspired escape room for you to explore and escape, called The Wayward Wizard (and The Wayward Wizard II, which is identical).
The magical-themed room requires you to work out a series of riddles in order to investigate the disappearance of renowned wizard, Albertus Magnus.
Bookings are required for the TRAPT Melbourne ‘The Wayward Wizard‘ experience. If you'd like to stay afterwards for drinks, you'll need to select the bar booking option and they'll let you stay for as long as they have the capacity.

12. Spellbox
Inside Royal Arcade (which could pass for a Melbourne twist on Diagon Alley) you'll find Spellbox, an enchanting shop selling spells, charms and wands. They also hold bewitching workshops and tarot readings.
From the 11th of October 2022, visit their pop-up store for 20% off while their main store in the royal arcade is closed for renovations.

13. Victorian Quidditch Association
The Victorian Quidditch Association was founded in 2011 and The Victoria Cup competition began in October 2013.
While there are no flying bludgers or Golden Snitches, there are broomsticks, balls and hula hoops as goals in a sport that's sort of a cross between rugby, dodgeball and hide-and-seek.

There you can find 500 square metres of Harry Potter themed toys, gifts, stationery, costumes, homewares and apparel. You'll also have the opportunity to get a photo at Australia's own iconic Platform 9 ¾.
