Why Merry People Boots Are Perfect For Sports

If you’re watching sporting events you’re often outdoors – and sometimes standing on damp grass or even enduring cold wet days.

The Merry People waterproof boots offer a win-win situation combining style, comfort, and functionality.

Comfortable Fit

Sporting events can be long, which is why Merry People shoes prioritise comfort and added support. The neoprene lining provides arch support and cushioning, allowing you to stay on your feet for extended periods. I love the khaki green Tully Boot which has a wider opening, flexible neoprene and in-built arch support.

Add a pair of breathable Merry People socks for extra comfort!

Never worry about discomfort or weather conditions again when it comes to your footwear. Step into your Merry People and just enjoy the game!

Merry People Sizing

Q: What size Merry People gum boots should I order?

Merry People sizing states that their boots run true to size, so I recommend ordering your normal shoe size for the perfect fit.

For instance, I’m a size 38 shoe with narrow feet and I have size 38 and 39 boots. The size 38 boots are just right and fit snugly, but there is no room between the toe and the tip of the shoe ie I can’t wear very thick socks with the boots. The size 39 boots are roomy everywhere so I wear them with thick socks and an insole (and in fact I’ve passed them down to my daughter who is a size 39 shoe size now).

Both the rubber and neoprene have some elasticity, so there is a little bit of stretch to the gumboots. They also come with removable innersoles. These classic gumboots may feel tighter on the first wear. It will eventually mould to the shape of your foot and that’s what makes these fab boots super comfortable.

I’ve experimented with adding and removing the inner sole of the Tully Boot when fitting half sizes. The Merry People size guide shows the innersole measurements, making it easy to compare their stylish boots to an existing pair of shoes you already own.
