Potterheads rejoice! The largest Harry Potter store in Australia is open at Myer Melbourne!
The massive 500sqm basement of the flagship Myer store on Bourke Street Mall has been transformed into an entire Harry Potter world. It’s Diagon Alley come alive!
The whole place is themed with features from the books and films, including the flying Ford Anglia…
…..a holographic Lego mural that turns from Harry to Voldemort as you move side to side…
You’ll find a huge array of toys, stationery, costumes, homewares and apparel.

My favourite items include the amazing Invisibility Cloak…
…Wizard Chess…
and of course, all the Harry Potter Lego you could ever want!
In the Wand Shop you’ll find an exclusive selection of 20 character wands under glass cases.
You can even pretend to push a trolley through Platform 9 3/4, just like the Hogwarts students. No need to fly to London to take that iconic shot at Kings Cross Station!
Note in busy times you may have to queue up but it moves quickly, most people just snap and go.
If you want to catch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child while you’re in Melbourne then you can buy tickets on-site at a dedicated ticket booth. Note it’s only open from Thursday to Sunday 12pm-4pm.
While the store is very exciting you don’t need to all rush in at once – the store is scheduled to be open until at least December 2020.
And if you can’t deal with crowds or lines then you can find items such as Harry Potter costumes or Harry Potter toys online at Toy Universe and Amazon’s Harry Potter Store.
