Fenced Playgrounds in Melbourne CBD/ Docklands

While the Melbourne CBD and Docklands are home to some great playgrounds, there are currently no fully fenced playgrounds in Melbourne CBD or Docklands. Most city playgrounds are open or partially fenced. However, we do recommend the following partially fenced option.

1. Docklands Park Playground

This waterfront playground brings a nautical vibe to the heart of Docklands, with boat-themed climbing frames, interactive play panels, swings, and plenty of sand play for younger kids. While it’s a great spot for an inner-city play break — especially with nearby cafés and open lawns — it’s only partially fenced, so it’s best suited for kids who don’t tend to wander. The open setting means you’ll need to keep a close eye, but the vibrant atmosphere and location right by the water make it a popular family stop when exploring Docklands.
