Titanic VR Experience in Melbourne
Prepare to embark on a voyage through time with this cutting-edge VR experience.
Unlike traditional museum exhibits, Titanic: A Voyage Through Time transports visitors deep beneath the ocean to witness the shipwreck as it rests today—nearly 3.8km below the surface.
Then, through the magic of virtual reality, you’ll travel back to 1912 to step aboard the Titanic as it was before tragedy struck.

My Experience Visiting Titanic: A Voyage Through Time
Having experienced Titanic: A Voyage Through Time myself, I can honestly say it’s a remarkable and unforgettable adventure. Every detail—from the lightweight headset to the stunning scenery—is designed to immerse you completely in the Titanic’s story.
Here are a few personal tips to help you make the most of your visit:
The VR Setup
The headset is lightweight and surprisingly comfortable. If you wear glasses, no worries—I wore mine underneath with no problems at all.
The audio plays directly into your ears without covering them, so you can still easily chat with the person next to you.
How It Works
You’ll journey through the experience in a small group of around five or six people.
Guided by a mix of audio narration and incredible visuals, you’ll explore a series of unforgettable scenes—from the eerie deep-sea wreckage to the lavish interiors of the Titanic before the tragedy, and even the fateful iceberg collision under a star-filled night sky.
Interactive Features
This isn’t a stand-still-and-watch experience—you can move around, interact with objects, and really step into the story. We loved being able to pick up food, open cupboards, and even steer the ship!
At one point, we found ourselves shovelling coal in the engine room. A virtual director appears throughout the journey to guide you through each part of the story.
