The Riverside Golf course is a 2561 meter public golf course situated right beside the gorgeous and scenic Maribyrnong River. On top of their par 34, nine-hole golf course, Riverside also offers a range of sporting opportunities for their community such as tennis courts, netball courts and mini-golf!

If you’re looking for a low-key family-friendly golfing experience, Riverside’s 18 holes mini golf course provides a relatively easy putt-putt course suitable for all ages.
If you’re serious about your mini golf then it’s not a particularly challenging course and doesn’t have lots of fancy features (no windmills), but the course is often quite empty so you can enjoy a putt without having to wait for people in front of you.
There’s not a lot of shade so it’s best to go early or late in the day to avoid the heat and glare.
For avid golfers, the Riverside Golf and Sports Centre is a wonderful spot to practice and test their skills. The main golf course is composed of well-watered large sloping greens that deliver a good trial and test of golfing capability for players of all levels.

Riverside also has a driving centre that’s being managed by the Moonee Valley City Council. The driving range offers 20 bays, with up to 50 balls available for use during their peak periods. The range is open every Monday to Sunday and the ball hire cost for 50 balls is $7.80.
Finally, there is a high ropes course with horizontal and vertical challenges that provides an effective learning and training experience for all groups. It’s only available for group hire.
Also in order to use the tennis or netball amenities, you’ll have to book a spot first. You can do so by contacting Moonee Valley City Council.
After a session of fun, Riverside’s onsite restaurant is the perfect location to cool off, wind down and enjoy a delicious drink and meal created by the Dimattina family who’s been running restaurants across Australia for the past 30 years.
