Best suited to ages 3 to 12, a Scienceworks party gets you all-day general admission to the museum plus two hours of exclusive hire in the Celebration Room, which comes with glow-in-the-dark lighting for the party lunch. Packages run for up to 20 or up to 30 guests, with add-ons including a hands-on workshop led by a Scienceworks educator and themed goody bags. Party packages run from 10 kids up, and the Vic handles the nibbles, theming, entertainment and lolly bags so you don’t have to. 3. Funtopia Maribyrnong
Funtopia is split into two areas — Playground World for ages 1 and up, and Climbing World for ages 4 and up, with 40 different climbing walls, a giant drop slide and a 650-square-metre play space between them. Every party includes a private party room and a dedicated party host, with a choice of a Playground Party or a Climbing World Party depending on the birthday kid’s age and energy levels. There’s a cafe on site (Mr Spriggins) if parents want a proper coffee while the party runs itself.

4. Strike Highpoint

There’s also a dedicated Kids’ Gym and Mini Adventure City area with soft play and a ball pit for toddlers and preschoolers, so it works across a wide age range at the one party.
Hosted parties run for 2 hours (a mix of all-access play plus 60 minutes of games run by a dedicated SuperHost), with a private party room, food menu, party bags and a free return visit for the birthday child. Parties get 90 minutes of jump time plus 30 minutes in a private party room for food and cake, run by a dedicated party host who handles games, food service and cake-cutting so you don’t have to.

LFK is a Williamstown North dance school and gymnastics club that also runs some of the more inventive kids’ parties in the zone. A standard party gets you exclusive use of the whole centre, including a gymnasium full of trampolines (one is a full 6 metres long), plus rings, bars, swings, soft shapes and beams.
There’s also a disco party option upstairs in the dance studio, complete with disco ball, lights, smoke machine, a taught dance routine and face painting for guests. Either way, you get a decorated party room, three or more staff running the show, and zero set-up or clean-up on your end.
Bonus: A Nespresso café on site means parents aren’t stuck with instant coffee while they wait.

8. Sun Theatre
For a quieter option, Sun Theatre in Yarraville Village offers customisable birthday party packages built around a private cinema session — exclusive use of a function room, a personal party host, a snack and drinks selection, and your choice from the current film lineup.
It’s a good pick for a party that needs to wind down rather than wind up, or for a group of kids who’d rather watch a movie together than run around a play centre.

9. Princess on Skates
Run by a local mum, Princess on Skates is a mobile roller-skating party service rather than a fixed venue — Belle and her team bring the skates, the games and the coaching to you.
