Werribee’s Wyndham Park is once again hosting LIT, a spectacular free after-dark experience, in 2025.
LIT was a massive hit in previous years and you can expect the event in 2025 to be bigger and better! Running from March 27 to April 13, this free event lights up the nights, with extra fun for families during the autumn school holidays. Whether you’ve been before or this will be your first time, there’s something new to see and explore every year.

LIT Werribee
The best part? It’s designed with families in mind.
The vibrant light displays are not only visually stunning but also completely interactive. Kids will be mesmerized by glowing animals, towering wildflowers, and shimmering trees that look like they belong in a fairytale.

The giant, iridescent bubbles are a must-see, too—they’re almost big enough to walk through!
This free family-friendly event is located inside Wyndham Park in the heart of Werribee city centre.

Over fourteen spectacular nights, you can enjoy all-new lighting installations throughout Wyndham Park.
Exciting Highlights for 2025 include:
The Ephemeral Collection – Prepare to be amazed by more than 50 larger-than-life, shimmering bubbles from Atelier Sisu. These glowing orbs change colour and emit sound, creating a mesmerising, otherworldly experience.

Tarutharu – The Kaurna Skink – This 27-metre-long illuminated sculpture, created by A Blanck Canvas in collaboration with First Nations artist Elizabeth Close and Jack Buckskin, celebrates the cultural significance of the Kaurna Peoples. It’s a must-see centrepiece of the festival.

Ctrl-Alt-Self – Ever wanted to see yourself in light? This interactive installation by Studio John Fish lets you create and move with a holographic-like projection of yourself in real time—kids will love this one!

The Guardians – Towering, glowing sculptures inspired by Australian wildflowers, designed by Matthew Aberline with The Beautiful and Useful Studio. These striking floral figures bring a bold splash of colour to the festival.

GOBO Light Walk – Follow a trail of enchanting lights with a brand-new installation from local Wyndham artist Ariadne Concha. This dreamy walk-through experience is perfect for families looking to soak up the magic at a slower pace.

And think you know the park’s rocket ship? Well, you have never seen it like this before!

Wyndham Park, Werribee
As well as hosting LIT, Wyndham Park boasts two impressive playgrounds, expansive parkland and views of the Werribee River, all just a hop-skip-jump from the buzzing multicultural eateries of Watton Street.
Make a night of it by enjoying dinner in Werribee City Centre – you’ll find restaurants, bars and
pubs, gelato, takeaway options and family-friendly dining are all just a short walk from Wyndham Park.
If you are planning on having dinner in the Werribee City Centre before experiencing LIT make sure to book as restaurants will be filling up quickly.

LIT Werribee 2025 Dates
In 2025, the event will run from March 27 to April 13, Thursday through Sunday, from 7 PM to 11 PM. Notably, this year’s festival coincides with the first week of the school holidays, offering an earlier start time to accommodate families.
Additionally, Sensory Friendly Nights are scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 9, providing a more relaxed environment with reduced lighting and sound for visitors with sensory sensitivities.
Want to take your time exploring? Thursdays are the best option! It’s a very popular event so weekends can be very busy.
The Werribee light show is an all-weather event so it will only be cancelled if weather conditions are deemed unsafe.

Getting to LIT Werribee
The main entrance to Wydham Park LIT is from Wedge Street Piazza off Watton Street. There is free public parking within easy walking distance of Wyndham Park or it’s just a short walk from Werribee Train Station.
This year’s event will be spread across a larger area of the park, with three entry points available.

Tips for Visiting Wyndham LIT
Before you go, here are a few tips. Parking can fill up quickly, so arrive early or consider using public transport. Also, bring a warm jacket—it can get chilly once the sun sets. But don’t worry, there’s plenty of seating along the paths for those moments when you need a break.
