If your kids (or you) are obsessed with LEGO or Star Wars, get ready.
The galaxy’s first-ever LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition is at Melbourne Museum from Fri 19 Dec – Mon 26 Jan 2026 and we reckon it’s a blockbuster outing for families.

LEGO Star Wars Exhibition Melbourne
This world premiere experience has been built by LEGO Certified Professional and LEGO Masters judge Ryan โBrickmanโ McNaught and his team.
There are more than 8 million LEGO bricks in the exhibition! Expect jaw-dropping, life-sized models of your favourite characters, droids, and starships, as well as interactive zones where you can build your own creations – including a lightsaber hilt!
Hereโs a closer look at what you need to know before you visit.

LEGO Star Wars Exhibition Melbourne: What to Expect
This isnโt your typical โlook but donโt touchโ museum exhibition. LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition invites kids (and grown-ups!) to get hands-on.

Your little builders can create their own Star Wars-inspired LEGO masterpieces, help construct enormous brick-built landscapes.

There are digital stations too, where kids can watch their creations come to life on screen and pick a sideโLight or Darkโas they face off against friends in galactic challenges.

Expect to Be StarstruckโEven by the Droids
The life-sized LEGO builds are nothing short of incredible.
You’ll find iconic characters and moments from across the Star Wars galaxy, spanning both the original films and the newer series.

One of the highlights? The Droid Hall of Fame.
Yes, C-3PO is there. And no, you wonโt believe heโs made entirely from LEGO and built using a custom โPearl Goldโ colour designed specifically for the exhibition.

For kids (and parents) whoโve dreamed of seeing an X-Wing or the Death Star up closeโthis is your chance.
The giant spinning LEGO Death Star, complete with tiny details built into the structure, is a real wow moment!

My favourite displays are the lightsabers. At the build station, you can design your own lightsaber’s hilt, attach it to a Bluetooth widget and watch yourself wield your lightsaber!

I don’t understand how the technology works but it is a VERY cool effect!

If your kids love LEGO Masters on TV, this is that level of creativity, brought to life with Star Wars flair.

And if you’re not a Star Wars fan? You can still appreciate the artistry and work that’s gone into building the many LEGO displays.

There are also a number of Grogu/Baby Yoda minifigs hidden throughout the display. Count how many there are and go in the draw to win awesome LEGO prizes!

I also think the general exhibition design is impressive – it’s highly immersive. You just won’t know the characters or understand some of the storylines described!

Itโs Made Right Here in Melbourne
Thereโs something extra special about knowing this entire exhibition was designed and built right here at Brickman HQ in Melbourne. It took over 25,000 hours to complete and will debut at Melbourne Museum before touring internationally.
That means Melbourne families are the first in the world to see it. If youโve got LEGO fans at home, this is one of those โwe were there firstโ moments worth bragging about!

LEGO Star Wars Gift Shop
As you’d expect the exit via the gift shop is pretty exciting for both LEGO and Star Wars fans alike.
There are many LEGO Star Wars sets available, as well as dress-ups, soft plush toys, stationery and general merchandise. Look at these cute money boxes!
