Looking for a scare-free way to kick off Halloween?
Following the phenomenal success of Halloween at the Museum in 2025, which attracted more than 4,200 visitors, Melbourne Museum has announced the event will return in 2026 as a massive three-day Halloween weekend.
Running from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, the event will now feature:
- Expanded family-friendly programming across the entire weekend, and
- A brand-new, adults-only headline event: The Haunted Gala.
This marks the biggest evolution of Halloween at the Museum to date, firmly establishing it as one of Melbourneโs most exciting annual Halloween events.

What Makes Family Early Entry Special?
At Melbourne Museum, kids will feel like Halloween VIPs. Instead of entering through the main doors, your little ghosts and goblins will head in via the jungle tunnelโa magical start to the evening.

During the Early Entry session, families can enjoy:
