RISING: First Peoples Melbourne Art Trams, Melbourne, 2026

First Peoples Melbourne Art Trams are rolling into 2026, with six new works that convey the limitless possibilities of First Peoples imagining.
Curated by Taungurung woman Kate ten Buuren, this year’s edition celebrates the power of Blak imagination and presents artworks by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists with connections to Victoria.
Six trams will be transformed into moving canvases across the city, launching during RISING and remaining on the network for 12 months.
The sixth tram, which honours an artist that has significantly contributed to First Peoples art history, will be announced in April.
