Edwards Reserve, otherwise known as the ‘frog park’ by locals, is a great South Kingsville playground for little and bigger kids!
The big timber play structure was upgraded in 2020 as well as other facilities and functional improvements.

The playground has different zones for children of different ages, making it a great destination for all the family.
The playground’s centrepiece is a big timber structure with lots of play opportunities on, around and even under the structure.
Younger kids enjoy the small sandpit and the stepping stones and the mini carved tables and stools. The flooring is a mix of tan bark and springy rubber flooring that’s great for crawlers.
Older kids like the big rope hammock swing, the spinning seat and opportunities to clamber on the sculpture, tackle the climbing footholds and climb up the spiral frame up to the timber structure.

There are a set of swings, sand play, a sprinkler style water feature to tie in with the trickle stream and a few trees around the perimeter for shade.
Aside from the playground, Edwards Reserve is regularly used for walking and other passive recreation.
While there is no actual bike or scooter track, the circuit track around the perimeter of the reserve and playground is a popular path for scooters and kids bike and there are bike hoops for parking.
Edwards Reserve is a great local destination as there are shaded picnic tables, barbecues, a water tap with a bottle-filling function and public toilets, as well as a basketball court and oval. There is also free unlimited parking in surrounding residential streets.
Note there is an off-leash dog park in the area as well. The reserve has strict time restrictions and is only off-lead before 9am and after 9pm.
