Checking In โ€“ First Impressions

From the moment we step into the lobby, we feel instantly welcomed. The space is light-filled, modern, and beautifully designed, yet doesnโ€™t feel overwhelming. Unlike some city hotels where the pace can feel rushed, Hotel Chadstone offers a calm start to our stay.

We arrive a little earlier than check-in time, but the concierge is wonderful. They take care of our bags, park our car, and even cut us a key so we can head straight up to the pool while our rooms are being prepared.

Family tip: If you arrive before your room is ready, donโ€™t stress โ€“ the hotel makes it easy to relax and start your staycation straight away.

Spacious Rooms with City Views

We have interconnecting rooms โ€“ a Classic Twin with two Queen Beds for the kids, and a Superior King Room for us. Both are spacious and modern, with comfortable beds and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer uninterrupted views of Melbourneโ€™s skyline.

The Pool โ€“ A Highlight for Kids (and Parents)

The rooftop pool is easily one of our favourite parts of the stay. With towering windows and views stretching out to the city, itโ€™s a showstopper. The pool itself is large and heated with shallow areas that make it safe for the kids to splash about, while the relaxing spa gives us adults the chance to unwind.

We take turns relaxing in the spa while keeping an eye on the kids, and the cosy lounge areas nearby mean we can stretch out with snacks and drinks. Even better, room service can be delivered directly to your poolside seat.

Family tip: Pack a small bag with swimming gear and snacks โ€“ that way, you can enjoy the pool even if your room isnโ€™t ready. Thereโ€™s a change room at the entrance.

Dining at Pastore

Dinner at Pastore, the hotelโ€™s in-house Italian restaurant, is a treat. The kids tuck into pasta bolognese happily while we enjoy fresh, flavourful dishes paired with a glass of wine. The service is warm and attentive, making the evening feel relaxed and family-friendly despite the elegant setting.

The next morning, breakfast at Pastore is just as impressive. From fresh fruit, cereals, and pastries to eggs cooked to order, barista coffee, and a wide selection of teas, everyone found something to love. The kids were particularly excited about the pastries and juice, while we appreciated the made-to-order eggs and strong coffee.

Family tip: Book dinner at Pastore when you stay โ€“ itโ€™s so much easier than heading out with kids in the evening, and the menu has plenty to please the whole family.

High Tea at Altus Rooftop Bar

For a touch of luxury during your stay at the Chadstone Hotel, donโ€™t miss the chance to experience High Tea at Altus Rooftop Bar. Perched on Level 12, this elegant venue also offers sweeping views of Melbourneโ€™s skyline and a menu that feels just as indulgent as the setting.

The traditional High Tea is beautifully presented on a custom gold three-tier stand, filled with delicate savoury bites and perfectly crafted sweets. Served with premium TWG teas, juices, and the option to add bubbles, cocktails, or mocktails, itโ€™s the perfect way for parents to relax and indulge.

Weโ€™ve tried it ourselves and found every detail exquisite โ€“ from the flavours to the flawless presentation. On weekends, Altus hosts its signature High Tea, while during school holidays families can look forward to special themed High Tea events, which add a playful twist the kids will love.
