BIG4 Yarra Valley Accommodation Options for Every Family

One of the best things about BIG4 Yarra Valley is the variety of accommodation to suit different budgets and styles.

Family Cabins

I stay with my kids in a two-bedroom cabin โ€“ the perfect balance of comfort and practicality. Thereโ€™s space to spread out, a kitchen to whip up easy meals, and heating for chilly Yarra Valley nights.

Our cabin looks straight out onto a clearing where kangaroos come to graze. The kids press their noses to the window every morning, waiting to see who might be hopping past.

Waking up to the sound of kookaburras and rosellas is such a treat. It feels like we are in the middle of the bush, but with all the conveniences of a holiday park.

BIG4 Cabins & Villas

There are loads of cabin options, from standard cabins for budget-conscious families, to spacious two-bedroom cabins with full kitchens and modern touches. Families with accessibility needs will appreciate the accessible family cabins, while those after something with a quirky twist can book one of the retro cabins with bright, fun dรฉcor that kids will love.

Glamping Belle Tents

A few years back, Joyce stayed in the Family Belle Tents, which offer two adjoining tents connected by a little deck. One tent has a king-sized bed for parents, while the other has single beds for kids. Think camping fun with proper beds, heating, and even a mini fridge. The only catch? Bathrooms are shared within the glamping precinct, but theyโ€™re clean and close by.

Glamping Pods & Safari Tents

If youโ€™re curious about camping but not quite ready to go all in, the park offers glamping pods and safari tents. Theyโ€™re cosy, stylish, and perfect for giving the kids a taste of camping with the bonus of real beds and power.

Geo Domes

For something truly different, you can stay in a geo dome โ€“ a rounded tent-like structure that feels both modern and adventurous.

Unique Tram Stay

One of the parkโ€™s most eye-catching options is the restored tram you can actually sleep in. Kids will be fascinated, and it makes for a holiday story theyโ€™ll never forget.

Caravan & Camping Sites

Of course, there are also powered and unpowered sites if you prefer to bring your own tent, camper or caravan.

Fun for Kids (and Parents Too)

BIG4 Yarra Valley Park Lane is packed with activities that make it more than just a place to sleep.

Playgrounds, Pump Track & Jumping Pillows

There are three playgrounds and two giant jumping pillows. The kids could bounce for hours.

The jumping pillow is such a highlight for my kids. They are bouncing away at dusk when kangaroos appear alongside them โ€“ I donโ€™t think theyโ€™ll ever forget that moment of โ€˜jumping with kangaroos.โ€™

Bring bikes or scooters for the on-site pump track โ€“ great for burning off energy.

Games Room & Arcade

The games room is a hit with kids of all ages. Thereโ€™s air hockey, a pool table, arcade machines like pinball, a TV room, plus shelves of board games and books. Perfect for rainy days or winding down in the evenings.

We duck into the games room one chilly evening and end up staying for longer than expected.

Swimming Pools & Tennis Court

There are two outdoor pools (closed in winter). In summer, theyโ€™re a cool retreat for the whole family.

Tennis courts and equipment hire available.

Nature & Wildlife

Being surrounded by bushland, the park is full of birdlife. We spot rosellas, cockatoos and parrots, not to mention the kangaroos.

BBQs & Creek

Families can make the most of BBQ areas, or enjoy a walk by the creek that runs through the property.

Food & Coffee

While thereโ€™s no restaurant, the on-site kiosk is a lifesaver for busy parents.

I am relieved to discover the kiosk does proper barista coffee from 8 am. Sitting on the deck with a hot flat white while the kids play nearby feels like the best holiday luxury.

The kiosk also has camping essentials and snacks like doughnuts and sausage rolls. If youโ€™re cooking for yourself, the cabins and shared camp kitchens make it easy. Healesville town centre is just a short drive away with plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants.
