If youโre dreaming of a stress-free family holiday in Bali where everyoneโparents and kidsโcan relax and indulge, Ayodya Resort in Nusa Dua might just be your perfect match.ย
We stay at this sprawling five-star beachfront resort and splurge on the all-inclusive package. But before our trip, we find it surprisingly tricky to figure out exactly what is included. So here it is: everything we wish we knew, plus a few tips to help families make the most of their stay.

Ayodya Resortโs All-Inclusive Package: More Than Just a Buffet and Beer
Letโs start with the headline act. The all-inclusive package at Ayodya is incredibly generousโespecially compared to others we’ve tried. It goes far beyond just a couple of drinks and a limited menu.

Food
Hooray, weโre not tied to a buffet-only restaurant! We can order ร la carte meals from almost every restaurant on-site, including Japanese at Genji (teppanyaki is excluded), Indian at Ganesha Ek Sanskriti, grilled seafood at Ayodya Beach Club & Grill, and casual eats at Surferโs Corner and the Waterfall Restaurant.
There’s a huge range of options, and everything we tryโfrom Indonesian dishes to wood-fired pizzasโis fresh and delicious.

Kids Menu
The kidsโ menu is fairly consistent across the restaurants, with a great selection of crowd-pleasers like fish and chips, ham and cheese toasties, junior burgers, pizzas, pasta with a choice of sauces, and crispy chicken tenders with chips.
Drinks are just as popular, with options like milkshakes, smoothies, freshly squeezed juicesโand even Milo, served hot or cold.
And when it came to dessert? Itโs always a hit. With authentic Belgian Hรคagen-Dazs ice cream available throughout the resort, the sweet treats are definitely a highlight.

Drinks
The free-flow drinks list for the grown-ups is huge. Weโre talking more than four pages of cocktails, local and international spirits, beers, spritzes, mocktails, juices and soft drinks.
Thereโs a proper cocktail menu with all the classicsโMargaritas, Mojitos, Piรฑa Coladasโas well as local favourites and more than enough mocktail options for kids and teens (or adults skipping alcohol). Youโre not just limited to โlocal beer or house wineโโthis list is extensive, and the drinks are actually good.
There are a few premium items on the menus that cost extra, but theyโre clearly marked, and honestly, the included options are so good that we never feel we are missing out.

Cultural Dinner Show: Included (and Worth Going Twice)
A real standout is the Cultural Dinner Show at the open-air Balinese Theatre. This is included in the package, and we go twice because our kids love it so much.
Itโs a full evening of traditional Balinese music and dance, with a traditional buffet dinner included. Watching the show under the stars with a cocktail in hand while the kids tuck into plates of satay and noodles? Magic.

Ayodya Accommodation Options: Comfortable and Spacious for Families
Ayodya offers a range of room types that work well for families. All guest rooms are equipped with either a king bed or twin share setup, and rollaway beds and cots are available for an additional fee. If you’re travelling with a bigger group or older kids, interconnecting rooms can be arrangedโideal for a bit of space and privacy while keeping everyone close by.
Weโd read some online reviews mentioning that the hotel feels a bit outdated. And while itโs true that Ayodya isnโt a shiny new build, we find the rooms to be comfortable, clean and full of Balinese charm. The traditional design actually suits the relaxed, tropical vibe of the resort.
All rooms are fully air-conditioned, which is a welcome relief after coming in from the heat and humidity. Plus, the private balcony is a peaceful spot to enjoy a coffee, book or quiet moment while the kids are entertained.

Family Facilities at Ayodya That Make Life Easy
Ayodya Resort is designed with families in mind. You could easily spend days just exploring the resort without needing to leave.
Camp Ananda Kids Club
The Ayodya kidsโ club caters well for ages 5โ12 with a packed program of supervised activities, from craft sessions, hair braiding, and face painting, to competitive games and playground time.
For kids aged 4 and under, youโll need to stay to supervise them or arrange a babysitter (which costs around AUD$15/hour via the hotel).
The air-conditioned indoor space has everything from building blocks and dress-ups to foosball and a TV room for slower afternoons. Outside, the playground has swings, a trampoline, kid-sized archery, a sandpit, and a pet bunny enclosure.
Camp Ananda also offers extra activities like kidsโ cooking classes, full head braiding (two small plaits are free), and henna artโadditional fees apply.
Tip: Make sure you leave your details and have WhatsApp installed so kids’ club staff can reach you quickly if needed.

Pools, Splash Pads and Slides
Thereโs a dedicated family pool, 70 metres long and perfect for both swimming laps and playing with pool noodles. Our kids spent most of their time at the splash pad and water slides, which are shallow, shaded, and designed just for little ones.
We spend a lot of our time by the pool watching the kids and ordering meals and drinks to our sunbeds.
Tip: Pack water shoes or swim socksโsome of the pool surfaces can be a bit rough on little feet!

Other Fun Features:
- An on-site swing overlooking the beach (Instagram moment!)
- Daily cultural activities like Balinese dance and language lessons, and offering-making
- Beach volleyball
- A small mini-golf green
- Dance and fitness classes, including yoga and Zumba on the beach
- Free bike hire for resort guests
- Fish feeding sessions (free and fun for little ones)

Dining with Kids: Easy and Flexible
Feeding hungry kids is one of the biggest stress points of any family holidayโbut Ayodya made it easy. We could grab a poolside snack, order fresh pasta at lunch, or take our time with a sit-down dinner.
Breakfast is a real event at the Waterfall Restaurant, with everything from bacon and eggs to nasi goreng, smoothies, fruit and pastries. It runs from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, which was great for relaxed mornings.
Snacks and (real) coffee are available from 10:00 am at Java Hut, Surferโs Corner and the Beach Club. Whether you need a quiet cappuccino or a quick ice cream fix between meals, youโre covered!

Helpful Extras
- Minibar: Restocked daily with soft drinks, beer and snacks.
- In-room dining: Not included, but discounted by 15% if you want to order something once the kids are asleep.

- Soora Restaurant: Not included in the all-inclusive package, but youโll receive 15% off if you want to try it.

Our Favourite Ayodya Resort Moments
- Eating dinner with our toes in the sand at the Beach Club while the kids build sandcastles metres away.
- Enjoying a peaceful hour in the spa while the kids are happily occupied at Camp Ananda.
- Watching the Cultural Show, mesmerised by the colours, music and movement.
- Ordering mocktails straight to our sunbeds like total holiday pros.

Ayodya Resortโs all-inclusive package is an absolute win for families looking for an easy, indulgent Bali escape. It offers serious value for money, especially when you factor in meals, drinks, entertainment and kidsโ activities.

While it might not be the newest or flashiest resort in Nusa Dua, it delivers a classic, relaxed holiday vibe with loads of heartโand enough variety to keep everyone happy. If youโre the kind of parent who wants to actually relax on holiday (without spending every second Googling โwhere to eat in Nusa Duaโ), Ayodyaโs all-inclusive package might just be your dream come true.
