Play is at the heart of everything we do at Polyglot. It’s vital for children’s development, health, and wellbeing — and the foundation of our creative work. We believe in the theatrical possibilities that ignite child’s play, giving children the agency to lead, to express their ideas and imagination, and to experience joy and connection.

Spark Play! is a brand-new, free at-home event you can enjoy in your own time, with family and friends.

We have questions — for kids and adults — and we’d love to hear your answers. Take a moment to think, then share your response however feels right:

Drawing · Making · Writing · Voice or video recording

Questions for kids

  • How do you play?
  • Why is it important for kids to be creative?
  • What would need to happen so that all kids everywhere could be creative and play?
  • If your voice could be heard by the whole world, what would you say?

Questions for adults

  • What’s a childhood memory of being creative?
  • What sparked your most recent burst of creativity?

Responses will be shared anonymously as they come in. Together, we’ll spark child’s play.
