Yo Mama Frozen Yoghurt Altona

Located on the bustling Pier Street in Altona, Yo Mama‘s frozen yoghurt is made fresh with real ingredients and no artificial sweeteners, so you can feel good about indulging in a sweet treat.

With the ability to choose your own toppings, you can create a dessert that's as healthy or as decadent as you want it to be.

Choose from classic froyo flavours like strawberry and chocolate, or mix it up with more unique options like the New York cheesecake or mango. As it’s self-serve, you might even swirl yourself a dollop of all six flavours.

I love frozen yoghurt bars because you can fill your bowl with however much you’d like and then just weigh and pay at the end. It’s $3.80 per 100 grams, so you can spend and have as much or as little as you’d like.

Now don’t be flaky at the topping bar! Pile on all of your favourite toppings, like fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, compotes, lollies, choc chips, popping pearls, and more.

Many of the toppings are made in-house and there are over 35 to choose from.

I’m happy to see there are plenty of tasty gluten-free, vegan frozen yoghurt and dairy-free froyo options too.

It certainly feels like Yo Mama isn’t just a place to satisfy your sweet tooth, it’s also Altona’s newest hangout spot for families.

The shop itself has a beautiful design and a warm, friendly vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Sandra White is the owner and brains behind this delicious new frozen yoghurt bar. She wanted to create a fun and inviting space where families, locals and visitors could come together to enjoy something special, and she’s certainly achieved that here.

Yo Mama’s is located just a few steps from Altona Train Station, making for an easy outing to explore this lively neighbourhood precinct. There’s plenty of street parking nearby as well.

Make the most of your visit by heading to Altona Beach, Logan Reserve Playground, Altona Library or Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre which are all just a short walk away.
