Indulge in Relaxation at voco Hotel Melbourne Central

With a stunning modern interior and rooftop views, the voco Hotel in Melbourne Central is a hotel that families shouldnโ€™t miss when theyโ€™re looking for family-friendly accommodation in the heart of Melbourne.ย

We were invited to spend a night at this hotel and we loved our staycation! In particular, we recommend voco Hotel Melbourne for its unbeatable location, comfortable furnishings, restaurant with city views and outdoor rooftop pool!

voco Melbourne Central

Conveniently located just moments away from Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne Central Station and Emporium Melbourne, the hotel makes for a perfect spot if youโ€™re looking to shop, eat or catch a show in the city.

The hotelโ€™s central location means you can also travel to see most of Melbourne with ease using public transport, plus there is valet parking if you take a car.

There are gorgeous views over Melbourneโ€™s skyline in every room and from the hotelโ€™s rooftop oasis.

The plunge pool is heated and it is long and narrow (and not very deep), so you won’t be able to swim long laps. It’s more like a huge spa and is so warm that it’s enjoyable even on a chilly day!

There’s also a fitness centre if you don’t fancy swimming (but really, I recommend taking your bathers!).

Also on the same level is the Blacksmith Brasserie and Bar, with floor-to-ceiling windows of the city. It’s open daily for breakfast and opens to the public on certain days for lunch and dinner.

The breakfast buffet at the Blacksmith Brasserie is expansive, with a cooking station for eggs and omelettes cooked to order, plus a delicious assortment of fruit, bread, cereal, pastries and hot food.

The bar overlooks the pool and Melbourne city skyline and is the place for a delicious cocktail when the sun goes down.

Room service is available from the same kitchen as The Blacksmith Brasserie and Bar, with a modern Australian menu of starters, mains and desserts plus a kids menu too.

voco Melbourne Rooms

While the voco Hotel is located right in Melbourne CBD, the hotel itself is remarkably quiet so you can be assured of a good night’s sleep.

Inside our room, and even in the lobby and other common areas, we cannot hear any traffic noise at all.

In addition, our twin room features cosy bedding, luxe amenities in the bathroom and high-speed Wi-Fi. There’s air conditioning – but also windows that open, a seating area, tea bags and coffee pod machine, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and Chromecast if you want to watch shows from your favourite streaming services.

For families, you can request two externally interconnecting rooms. This combines the King Bed Premium Corner Room with The 2 King Single Beds Premium Room and a small external alcove area that’s accessed via a single door.

Note that means that the rooms are not internally interconnecting, so it may not be suitable for very young children if you do not keep your room door open (but the alcove door shut).
