French-themed music festival So Frenchy So Chic returns for another summer with a family-friendly event at Werribee Park on Sunday 13 January 2019 (as well as Adelaide on Friday 11 January and Sydney on Saturday 19 Monday 14 January 2019)
The event is like a fancy garden party, grand picnic and celebration of all things French! Enjoy a day of music, food and fun with your friends and family – best of all kids under 12 years are free.
This year there’s an all-female lineup featuring Camille, Yelle Club Party, Clara Luciani and Clea Vincent.
While the main stage is rocking there’s a lot more to enjoy on the day, with delicious French food and a whole area just for kids.
Lady AB (6yo) and I attend in 2017 and have a wonderfully relaxing time in the sun. We lie on our picnic rugs, enjoy the music in the background, eat ice cream and macarons, read books and join in the children’s games.
With croquet, life-sized chess, hopscotch, face painting, drumming classes, balloon and bubble making, the young at heart have an endless array of entertainment available throughout the festival. A tip – if you have more than one adult it’s good to be able to split up the queueing up for the more popular activities. Set up home base, relax and let everyone enjoy the joie de vivre.
