Share A Ton Of Memorable Moments At The Sheraton Melbourne
Need an easy city break with the family? If the idea of taking a family holiday has you feeling overwhelmed, booking a stay at the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel means you don’t have to give up your getaway this year.
With a prime Melbourne location, interconnecting rooms, high quality hotel dining at Little Collins Kitchen, an indoor pool and day spa, Sheraton Melbourne is the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate with the entire family.
Sheraton Hotel Melbourne
The Sheraton Melbourne is located right in the heart of Melbourne CBD and makes a great base for exploring the many theatres, restaurants and cafes nearby.
It’s walking distance or a quick tram ride to Melbourne attractions such as the Princess Theatre (home of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Australia’s centre for moving images ACMI and the Children’s Quarter at the State Library.
There are also beautiful parks to explore nearby. I go for a morning run amongst the Autumn leaves of Fitzroy Gardens and it's absolutely stunning.
As you’d expect from the Sheraton brand the five-star hotel is sleek. I book a stay in one of the King Bedrooms with a stunning corner view of the city skyline and Parliament House. I take advantage of the fast, free wifi, soak in the sparkling marble bathroom and wrap myself in a robe and slippers.
Best of all, I enjoy sleeping without disturbance on the king-size Sheraton Signature Bed!
While I am at the hotel for a solo working staycation, I notice that there are plenty of families staying in the hotel too.
They are undoubtedly drawn to the Sheraton Melbourne for its large rooms with comfortable beds, helpful amenities and streamlined service. There are guest rooms with two double beds if family members are happy to share a bed. Plus certain floors have two interconnecting rooms joined together by an exterior corridor that is accessed by a separate door. They also offer rollaway beds and cots for babies.
The kids will also love the heated indoor lap pool – just choose a time to go when it’s less likely to be busy. I time my swim during prime breakfast hour ie 8:30-9:30am and I’m the only one there!
There is a bubbling spa at one end of the pool and a sauna, plus a fitness centre complete with a state-of-the-art gym.
Little Collins Kitchen is the on-site restaurant serving modern Australian dishes made with locally sourced produce. The breakfast buffet is epic, with eggs made to order, smoked salmon on tap plus adorable little pastries.
I also try the generously proportioned crispy Caesar salad from the lunch menu and the fragrant pear and walnut tart.
The same kitchen produces the in-toom menu, so if you really can't drag yourself out of your luxurious hotel room you can call room service and get it delivered to your door.

If you’re able to get time away from the kids then I highly recommend booking yourself an appointment at the Sheraton Hotel’s spa.
They offer various kinds of treatments for relieving tension and increasing relaxation, as well as beauty treatments. I recommend keeping an eye on the packages they offer from time to time, as I am able to take advantage of a 60-minute treatment on a weekend for $160.
I practically fall asleep during my 30-minute facial and 30-minute massage, which starts with a soothing foot soak and scrub. The treatment ends with a pot of Le Maison du The tea to sip at your leisure in the spa's reception area. What bliss!
Whether you're staying for a holiday, booking time for some rejuvenation or even wanting to work in some luxury, the Sheraton Hotel Melbourne CBD offers an inviting and peaceful retreat from everyday life.
