rainbow town play centre
Rainbow Town Glen Waverley opened in 2019 and has been a source of excitement and fun for Melbourne families ever since.
The play centre's concept is about promoting imaginative play, physical fitness and social interaction to help kids develop their social skills, self-esteem, and coordination.
Rainbow Town play centre has 4 main areas – the main play area, trampoline area, rock climbing area, and mini car play centre.
The main play area features a huge ball pit which is a great place for younger kids to release all of their playful energy.
The huge climbing frame is perfect for older, more mobile kids who are brave enough to explore the various obstacle courses.
The creatively fun LEGO wall with colourful Duplo blocks is also good for a more restful experience and suits kids of all ages.
You can purchase a pass for unlimited play just in the playground for $20 weekdays and $23.50 on weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
Outside of the playground there are three other experiences – the rock climbing wall, trampoline and mini car central.
For older kids, the Rainbow Town rock climbing area will be a blast! They can challenge themselves to bravely climb as high as they possibly can. Note that the rock climbing area has a minimum height requirement of 110 cm and above.
The trampoline area is another great place for children to exercise while having fun. They can safely soar in the open jump arenas that are completely surrounded by strong but soft netting.
If your kid has a ‘need for speed' then the mini car play centre is just the place for them! Here, they'll be able to experience some of their first-time driving sessions in safe and easy to control mini cars.
If you want to experience the whole venue then it costs $30 weekdays and $38 on weekends, public holidays and school holidays. If you just want to visit the playground and add on a mini car game then mini car sessions last for 5 minutes and cost $10 per game.
For hygiene purposes kids and adults need to wear socks at all times in all play areas; and for those who are going to go in the bouncing area, you'll have to change into the required grip socks. Should you forget to bring some, you can always purchase a pair of their Rainbow Town grip socks for $3 per pair.
