Once a month the Windows Restaurant inside Pullman Melbourne hosts the Sunday Funday Brunch 11:30am-2pm. As the timing means it’s really more of a lunch option my tip is NOT to eat breakfast beforehand – there’s a lot of food on offer!

The self-serve buffet is set up with salads, slow-roasted meats, fresh seafood and huge array of desserts. There’s even bottomless sparkling wine (or sparkling water) for adults!

At $65 per head I think it’s incredible value. I could eat that amount in fresh seafood alone!

The food is fresh, beautifully presented and plentiful. There’s something to suit all palates and the menu covers a range of cuisines with a mostly ‘Sunday roast’ and seafood focus.

The dessert cabinet is amazing and it’s so hard to choose!

And in addition to the patisserie are DIY ice cream sundaes!

Of course, the kids LOVE the chocolate fountain and the free-for-all ice cream freezer.

Better still, kids under 12 years eat free (one child eats free per one paying adult) and they can indulge in the same buffet as well as enjoying the free kids entertainment. On our visit there is a face painter and balloon twister.

The setting is just lovely too, as the Windows restaurant overlooks Albert Park and the lake. The staff are very courteous and friendly though they are a little slow with basic things like water top ups and removing dirty plates. A small niggle.
