Woodlea is continuing its expansion of play areas in the Rockbank housing development with the opening of its fourth playground! You can now add Pioneer Drive playground to Frontier Park, and Woodlea Adventure Playground and Muster Drive playground.  Add the excellent Aintree cafe and you can make a day of it.

Pioneer Drive playground is the smallest of the four playgrounds so far. It also has equipment that’s better suited for younger kids/toddlers.

There is a tall slide tower for daredevils but mostly the equipment is low to the ground – traditional swings, a nest swing…

…and large sand pit with a single water pump for water play.

There was a rock climbing wall during the development but it’s not made it to the final structure.

On the side there’s some adult exercise equipment and the perimeter is a miniature skate park. It features a tiny ramp and little bumps for kids to start practising on their scooters and bikes.

There is a shelter with tables and a BBQ and unshaded seats.

Pioneer Drive in only a hop skip and a jump away from Frontier Park if your kids need equipment that’s more challenging. If you have time why not do the rounds with Woodlea Adventure Playground, Muster Drive and Nugget Place playgrounds as well!
