Woodlea now has FIVE fantastic playgrounds within its Rockbank housing development! Make a day of it with the new Nugget Place playground as well as Frontier Park, Woodlea Adventure Playground, Muster Drive playground and Pioneer Drive playground plus a pit stop at Aintree Cafe.
Nugget Place playground is a smaller-sized playground compared to Frontier Park and Woodlea Adventure Playground though there’s still enough equipment to keep kids entertained for an hour or two, especially if you bring wheels!
There’s a half-size basketball and netball court for ball games as well as scooter/bike paths around the play area. Near the basketball court there is some adult exercise equipment.
The play equipment includes two tall towers with lots of opportunities for climbing, balancing and sliding…

….or a slide tower with a long, but not too steep slide.
Kids who love to swing will have a ball, with a nest swing, a bank of traditional swings and a face-to-face ‘Expression Swing’ perfect for babies and their carers (though 5 year old Baby 2.0 did try to squeeze inside).
There is also a short ropes course for older kids and a miniature carousel.
There is a shelter with tables and a BBQ and unshaded seats.
Nugget Place is close to the Pioneer Drive playground if your kids need equipment which is not so challenging. If you have time visit all five playgrounds with your bike/scooter and bathers – Frontier Park Woodlea Adventure Playground and Muster Drive playground.
