We were invited to enjoy a stay at this Little Collins Street Melbourne hotel and here is my review of what might be your next choice for a perfect family staycation in Melbourne.
Next Hotel Collins Street Melbourne
The Next Hotel Melbourne doesn't run short on facilities, among them guests can enjoy the accommodating 24-hour front desk and room service along with free WiFi throughout the property and even in some public spaces, which means if you’re trying to enjoy a vacation but want to make sure you don’t miss out in important emails, you’ll be able to do so easily anywhere in the hotel and in close by spots.
The hotel also offers a daily continental breakfast which will appeal to even the pickiest of palates. However, if you’d prefer to indulge in a cooked-to-order breakfast, Next Hotel Melbourne also offers this for a fee on weekdays from 7am – 11am. Prices can cost 25-35 AUD for adults and 15-25 AUD for children.
For the kids, the hotel offers children's games to keep them entertained for hours within the hotel grounds, but if you’re looking to go out and explore, the hotel is situated in a convenient location and close to kid-friendly attractions such as the iconic Royal Botanic Gardens, The National Gallery of Victoria and more.
When it comes to rooms, this Melbourne hotel does not fall short on offerings. Choose from their Next Room, Next Level Room, Club One Bedroom Suite, Club Two Bedroom Suites, Next Level Family Room or the Family Suite.

The Next Room and Next Level Room contains thoughtful design and details, including a sumptuous Dreamweave Bed (as comfortable as any you’d find in the finest luxury hotel Melbourne has) french linen bedding and custom-designed furnishings, along with beautiful artwork by acclaimed Australian artist Jonny Niesche.
For the Next Level Family Room, families can enjoy interconnecting rooms, one with a King Dreamweave bed for parents, the other with twin king single beds for the little ones. Upon arrival, some of the complimentary amenities families can enjoy are a bottle of Prosecco for the parents and, for the little ones, a special mini-bar basket of treats and a magical tee-pee set in their room!
Next Hotel Melbourne Suites
Located on the highest floors of the hotel are the Club One Bedroom Suite and Club Two Bedroom Suites which offer lovely views of Melbourne’s cityscape and beyond. Each room contains custom-designed furnishings, a spacious lounge and a work desk. Separate from the lounge is the bedroom which boasts a super king Dreamweaver Bed, french linen bedding and artwork by acclaimed Australian artist Jonny Niesche.
Should you decide to book The Family Suite instead, you’ll gain access to all the same amenities but in a more spacious location as the suite includes a separate lounge along with two bedrooms. The suite also boasts views of Melbourne’s cityscape.
All rooms and suites come with a mini-bar that is stocked with locally sourced provisions and signature cocktails aged in the hotel’s own Barrel Room.
Next Hotel Melbourne The Club
By booking a suite, guests will also gain exclusive access to The Club throughout their stay which is perfect for work or just to recharge during your much-needed break. The Club also offers complimentary breakfast, round-the-clock refreshments and evening Aperitivo with a selection of wines and nibbles on offer between 5-7 pm.
