At one of the ramp there is a high rope bridge leading to a gorgeous mural of the Australian bush – a great photo opportunity.

For younger kids there is a smaller climbing fort with shorter slides, poles, a tunnel and climbing equipment.

The kids particularly love the double roundabout swing though there are traditional swings and nest swings too.

The playground is surrounded by a bushy area (we even spot kookaburras) but the trees only provide a little shade in summer. It can get very cool in winter.

A unique benefit of the playground is that it’s next door to the Hahndorf’s Fine Chocolates! You can easily walk to the chocolate shop via a sensory nature garden on the edge of the playground, making it feel like an adventure from ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’.
