Our Visit to Landing Playcentre Ravenhall

Walking intoLanding Playcentre in Ravenhall feels like stepping into a futuristic play world. Bright colours, space-themed decor, and the biggest ball pit my kids have ever seen sets the scene for an exciting day out.

We spend almost three hours exploring and enjoying all of the different play zones. Itโ€™s the kind of place where you can lose track of time because there is so much to do.

Landing Play Zones and Activities

Landing Play Centre is cleverly designed with different zones to suit every age group:

  • Baby Zone (Under 2s) โ€“ soft mats, gentle play structures, and age-appropriate toys.
  • Toddler Zone (Under 5s) โ€“ mini slides, climbing equipment, and sensory play perfect for curious little ones.
  • Main Zone (5โ€“11 years) โ€“ huge slides, climbing towers, and obstacle courses that keep the big kids moving.

Iโ€™m amazed at how much variety there is hereโ€”my kids could easily spend the whole day just rotating between the slides, the ball pit, and the pretend play zones.

My kidsโ€™ top picks

My kids (at age 3 and 5) love role-playing, so the mini supermarket is an easy win. They fill up their little trolleys with pretend groceries, play shopkeeper, and giggle through checkout. Thereโ€™s also a BBQ play corner, an animal rescue station, and even a beauty and dress-up area, which is a big hit with kids who like creative play.

And then thereโ€™s the ball pitsโ€”a sea of colourful plastic balls that stretches further than any weโ€™ve seen before. Bubba D and I happily splash about in it while Little E runs laps up and down the giant slides. She insists I join her at first, then proudly announces sheโ€™s ready to do it herself, climbing up again and again until sheโ€™s mastered the circuit.

Cafรฉ and Facilities

Parents arenโ€™t forgotten here. The onsite cafรฉ serves proper coffee and a solid menu of snacks, kidsโ€™ meals, and hot food for adults. Itโ€™s a relief not having to pack food, though itโ€™s good to note that outside food and drinks arenโ€™t allowed (with the exception of birthday cakes for booked parties).

Knowing I donโ€™t have to pack food makes the morning rush so much easier. We just show up, play, and grab something from the cafรฉ when everyoneโ€™s hungry.

There are plenty of tables around the cafรฉ area, so itโ€™s easy to grab a break while still keeping an eye on the kids.

Bathrooms, high chairs, and baby change facilities are all on site, making the visit easier for families with little ones.

While some of the toys in the play zones seem a bit worn, we notice staff members cleaning and tidying up often.

Parties and Events

If youโ€™re looking for a birthday party venue, Landing Playcentre ticks that box too. There are themed party roomsโ€”space, jungle, fairy, and even a pamper spa room for mini makeovers. Packages include catering, decorations, and a party host, so parents donโ€™t have to do the heavy lifting.

Tips for Visiting Landing Playcentre Ravenhall

  • Bring socks โ€“ everyone needs them (kids and adults). If you forget, you can buy some at the counter.
  • Check peak vs. off-peak pricing โ€“ entry costs are cheaper on weekdays during school terms. Weekends and school holidays are busier and a bit pricier.
  • Arrive early โ€“ mornings tend to be quieter, especially during the week.
  • Plan to eat there โ€“ no outside food allowed, but the cafรฉ has a good range for both adults and kids.
  • Consider a party package if youโ€™re booking for a groupโ€”set-up, catering, and clean-up are all taken care of.
