The Langham, Melbourne Kids Afternoon Tea
Available on weekdays throughout the year with various sitting times, The Langham Fantasy Afternoon Tea has been designed exclusively for children 12 years and under. Kids can enjoy a selection of hand-made fairyland desserts, finger sandwiches and vanilla scones, all served on their own three-tiered stand. At the same time adults can enjoy The Langham Afternoon Tea.

The Langham, Shrek Afternoon Tea
Once upon a time, afternoon tea got a little bit swampy. The Langham’s Shrek Afternoon Tea runs from 30 September to 3 October 2026 in the Swanston Room, right in time for the spring school holidays.
Kids will spot plenty of familiar faces on the menu, with treats named after the films: tacos billed as “Ooh, Mexican Food!”, “Ogres Have Layers” pistachio macarons and “Not the Gumdrop Buttons!” gingerbread. There are also chicken sliders, ham and cheese sandwiches, and two swamp-green and princess-pink mocktails for the kids to sip on.
Every guest takes home a Funko Pop! Shrek figure, which is a nice touch if your child’s a collector.
Sittings run 11am–1pm and 2pm–4pm. Prices are $105 for adults and $65 for children (3–12 years) Wednesday to Friday, rising to $115 and $70 on Saturdays. Kids under 3 dine free.
