HOT: House of Colour, Highpoint Shopping Centre, Maribyrnong

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hey kids! Highpointโ€™s House of Colour lets you jump on the bed as much as you like, stick stuff on the walls and even take a bath (though donโ€™t worry, you wonโ€™t get wet)!

House of Colour Highpoint

For the autumn school holidays from Monday 8 April to Sunday 14 April, Level 1 Centre Court is transformed into a colourful interactive play space.

There are with three different rooms of fun, with each room focusing on a different Pantone colour. We are invited to a sneak peek!

In the Living Room, kids can get creative and decorate the walls, floors and furniture with pink shapes and stickers. You can see echoes of Yayoi Kusamaโ€™s Obliteration Room in this interactive installation.

In the yellow bedroom, kids will go nuts crashing onto the large inflatable jumping bed.

If thatโ€™s too energetic then kids can sit down to colour-in some bedtime-themed artworks to keep.

The bathroom is the clear favourite thanks to the ball pit inside the bathtub!

In the bathroom, you can also draw on the mirror and see your designs glow under UV lights.

You can visit any room in any order. Places like the ball pit and inflatable bed can get a bit crazy with all the hyper school-age kids so be strategic about redirecting little ones to more calm activities elsewhere.

Highpointโ€™s colour-filled and custom-built play space is sure to be a hit these April School Holidays. Thereโ€™s a maximum of twenty children (plus their parents and carers) in the House of Colour at a time, so go early to avoid the longest queues. Sessions are scheduled every 30 minutes.
