Beaton Reserve is a well-loved local park in Yarraville.

The large playground is close to one of the locations of Yarraville Community Centre (the other is at 114 Blackwood St) and caters for toddlers through to teenagers.

For older kids thereโ€™s a basketball court and a challenging vertical climbing frame.

For younger kids thereโ€™s a colourful playhouse with climbing frames, order wobbly bridge, slide, climbing net, climbing poles, clock, steering wheel and mirror.

Lady AB particularly liked the shopfront, complete with scales and a plastic cash register. A great set up for imaginative play!

Our favourite part of the Beaton Reserveย playground was the large sandpit with diggers, spades and moving parts such as a conveyor belt (which doubled as a slide for our toddlers).ย Even in the depths of winter the kids wanted to take their shoes off for some sand play!
