Our Review: Healesville Hotel, Healesville

Healesville Hotel is a cosy, historical gastropub in picturesque Healesville Yarra Valley. Itโ€™s a great destination for family dining as there’s a fantastic outdoor beer garden with nature play features for when the weather’s balmy.

Also the kitchen opens from 12 midday and doesnโ€™t close till late, which means itโ€™s possible to eat dinner at family-friendly hours – in our case, 5pm.

Dining at Healesville Hotel with Kidsย

Healesville Hotelโ€™s menu reflects the seasonality and availability of local produce. In fact it owns the K&B Butcher local providores next door.

If the weather is inclement the front room is quite squashy for prams. The room with the open fireplace may be better if you’re happy to share a communal table. You can make a booking for the stylish dining room but it is a more formal atmosphere with the same menu.

Healesville Hotel is a great location for social gatherings, especially if you can nab a table outside and the kids are old enough not to have to be constantly supervised. The meals are delicious and the vibe is relaxed, making for a great space for families and friends alike.
