[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Geelong Play Space is a fully fenced playground next to the Geelong Botanic Gardens and it’s one of Geelong’s best playgrounds.
The award-winning design combines imaginative features and a mainly natural setting to create a play space that sparks the imagination.
As you walk down the musical bell bridge, what first captures your eye is the wooden pirate ship with a rope climbing net, steering wheel, short slide and speaking tubes.
The pirate ship leads into a steep climbing wall, two stand-on spinners and springers and is overlooked by two standard swings and a Liberty Swing for children in wheelchairs (note the key must be collected from National Wool Museum in Moorabool Street or The Carousel on the Waterfront).
On the other side of the musical bridge are more springers, a bamboo tunnel and a cottage ruin.
At the back of the playground is a large sandpit and a maze that Lady AB called the ‘shape forest’.
In general the landscaping provides natural shade but of course bring a hat and sunscreen.
