The Bookbinder is a dark fairy-tale brought to life through puppetry, paper art, shadow play, and atmospheric storytelling – echoing the imaginative worlds of Coraline and The Labyrinth.
A one-man performance from Trick of the Light Theatre, it follows a bookbinding apprentice whose story slips off the page and into the workshop around him.
Award-winning and world-touring, this production has played everywhere from New York’s Lincoln Centre to the attic of the oldest bookbindery in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
