Sunshine Lunar New Year Festival 2026

The Sunshine Lunar New Year Festival brings the community together for a huge day of free family fun.

Hampshire Road (between Devonshire and Hertford Roads) closes to traffic for live entertainment, children’s rides, street performers, music, dancing, street food, face-painting, and magical Lion and Dragon dancing.

Diana Nguyen MC’s the Fastest Pho and Fastest Burger eating challenge with $500 prizes, plus gives away red-pockets from the stage throughout the day.

Enjoy multicultural bands, dance groups, a Cultural Kid’s Zone, lawn games, and local sporting group activities. The spectacular Lion and Dragon dance with long string firecrackers starts 6.30pm at the stage.
