Presented alongside FRIEND, these dynamic interactive exhibits highlight groundbreaking Australian innovation as it unfolds. Centred on Human–Robot Interaction (HRI) and connected disciplines, visitors can directly engage with emerging ideas that will define how we interact with machines in the years ahead.

R+D provides a rare chance to witness new research in real time. Between Saturday 1 November 2025 and Sunday 26 April 2026, NCM collaborates with Australia’s leading robotics, AI, and biocomputing experts to bring laboratory breakthroughs into public view.
