Lunar New Year at QV Melbourne 2026
QV Melbourne celebrates the Year of the Horse from Monday 16 February – Sunday 1 March with the Happy Horse Noodle Bar installation, special menu items, lion dances and cultural displays.
Happy Horse Noodle Bar – Open 10am – 10pm daily in QV Square. Step inside a fictional noodle bar featuring immersive photo walls with AR animation (scan QR code and download EyeJack app to watch dishes come to life). Discover special LNY dishes from EatAlley, Old Beijing, Shanghai Street Kitchen, Dainty Sichuan and more, each with symbolic meanings.
Traditional Performances –Â Lion dances, dragon dances and martial arts from the Chinese Masonic Society:
- 5.30pm Monday 16 February (LNY Eve) and Tuesday 17 February (LNY Day)
- 5.00pm Saturday 21 February and Sunday 22 February (LNY weekend)
Lion heads on display for kids to explore.
Special LNY Dishes – Featured restaurants include:
- EatAlley (Malaysian street food, Good Food Guide Critic’s Pick)
- Old Beijing (hosting LNY banquet with Prosperity Yee Sang and whole steamed coral trout)
- Dainty Sichuan, Shanghai Street Kitchen, Milksha
Old Beijing will stage lion dances from QV Square to their restaurant on Artemis Lane.
