1. Mascoma Street, Strathmore

The lights here sync with music and the display features a selfie wall and walk-through sections to explore. This Christmas light show, created by a father-son duo, took over 4 months to make and was programmed by an individualwho helped build the Myer Christmas windows.

2. Molesworth Street, Coburg

With a highlight of a nativity scene inside a cave, this three-story home is lit with tens of thousands of lights, featuring a Christmas tree, a massive inflatable Santa, snowmanand reindeer. Follow the brightly lit walkway through this display that took more than a month to set up, with all funds raised benefiting seriously ill kids.

3. Glencairn Drive, Greenvale

Dive into festive music as you explore the decorated room, Christmas statues, moving displays, nativity scene and six animated windows. Running for over 20 years, the owner loves to bring joy to the community, while any donations go to supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. This extensive setup is lit from 8pm to 1am.

4. Loch Street, Coburg

The house is lit in vibrant colours, with a variety of Christmas statues such as reindeer, lampposts, oversized baubles, trains, Santa’s sleigh, a large Santa with his dog, elves, candy canes, Nutcracker, a large archand a snowman family. Its best attribute is the vibrant colour scheme, which provides a visually appealing experience that is not overcrowded and easily viewed.

5. The Boulevard Christmas Lights, Ivanhoe

The Boulevard in Ivanhoe will glow once again this December with a display of lights, decorations and Christmas spirit. Thanks to the passion and dedication of residents along The Boulevard and surrounding streets, our community continues to enjoy this much loved, long-held tradition.

Although some resident decorations start appearing from early to mid-December, traffic management, toilets and some food stalls will be in place during the peak dates from 19 December to 24 December.

While in the spirit of Christmas, be sure to come to the annual Banyule Carols by Candlelight held in Greensborough on Saturday 16 December.

6. Ornata Road, Mount Dandenong

Once a local secret, the shimmering fairy lights and Santa with his reindeer welcome visitors to this Melbourne Christmas lights display. Lit from 8pm to10pm, the owners have been creating a timeless holiday experience for over 15 years, featuring moving decorations, inflatables, a decorated roof, window displays and the ultimate photo spot.

This Christmas display is filled with decorations, music, inflatables and a dazzling roof showcase. Lighting up December nights from 8:30pm to 11pm, this enchanting tradition, featuring everything from an inflatable Santa to colourful lights and festive tunes, has been spreading joy for over 20 years.

8. Hansford Close, Kilysyth 

With the display evolving each year, this year includes moving decorations, a festive roof, lasers,light projections and Christmas statues. From 7pm to 12am, the entire house is litin colours, featuring reindeer, Christmas trees and presents, and don’t miss the perfect photo opportunity at the front gate or the cheerfully lit trees to ignite your festive spirit!

9. Boyd Close, Mooroolbark

This wonderland has roof decorations, inflatables and lights, including a life-size Santa sleigh, 3-metre inflatable reindeer and snow machine. 10. Crawley Grove, Ringwood

Grab a cushion and watch Christmas movies and enjoy a live view of Santa’s village. Explore Candy Cane Lane, grab a candy cane and take photos on the bench or under the mistletoe. The snow machine operates on Friday and Saturday nights around 8:45pm (traffic dependent) and don’t forget to use the onsite Santa mailbox, including your return address, for a speedy elf reply!

17. Monte Carlo Drive, Point Cook

18. Dunnings Road, Point Cook

This large display, with plenty of lights, inflatables, Christmas statues, music and windowdisplays, supports the Starlight Foundation through fundraising. Be guided up the driveway byinteractive displays, with music for kids to dance to and lollies, provided by the owners. The display, running for about a decade and taking a month to set up, ends on December 27.

19. Yandina Road, Hoppers Crossing

Featuring an abundance of lights and inflatables, this large Christmas light display supports the Manor Lakes Food Pantry. The joy of seeing happy people is the highlight of the owners’ display, which runs until January 3 and has been a tradition for over 20 years, taking over a month to set up.
