Melbourne AFL Max Opening 2025
Located at Tullamarine, right next to URBNSurf and near the Essendon Football Club, AFL Max Melbourne couldn’t be in a better spot. Designed as a hub for Australian Rules Football, it’s set to become a must-visit destination.
Already a hit in Adelaide, this facility—founded by Premiership player James Podsiadly and backed by the AFL—is bringing its unique approach to footy and fun to the home of Australian Rules Football.
According to James Podsiadly, CEO of AFL Max, the Melbourne launch has been years in the making.
“It’s been a long time coming, and to see AFL Max launch in the home of footy, we couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come in 2025. We’ve spent the last five years refining our offerings and listening to customers in Adelaide, and our team couldn’t be more ready for this opportunity,” he shared.

The Melbourne venue is set to continue this tradition, providing a space where kids can learn valuable life skills through the lens of footy.
Rob Auld, Executive General Manager of Game Development at AFL, highlighted the significance of the new venue: “AFL Max is another great way to connect communities with Australian Rules Football. From teaching kids the fundamentals of footy to using the sport as a tool for life-long learning, we’re looking forward to continuing our work with Max to provide greater access to the game.”

AFL Max Melbourne is part of the AFL’s broader strategy to increase participation in Australian Rules Football and strengthen community ties.
By offering innovative programs and facilities, AFL Max is poised to inspire the next generation of footy players and fans, while also serving as a gathering place for families and communities.
