[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Kyneton is well-known for being a foodies paradise and Duck Duck Goose & Larder is particularly family-friendly.

Duck Duck Goose & Larder is an upmarket grocery store, providore, homewares store and cafe, all housed inside a large historic building on Piper Street Kyneton.
It’s a great place to visit with kids as it’s spacious on the outside, as well as providing pram access, high chairs and change facilities inside.

Plus their flaky sausage rolls are justifiably famous!
Baby 2.0 devours his sausage roll and salad with gusto ($12) while I tuck into a pumpkin bruschetta with goats cheese, rocket, beetroot relish, a poached egg and candied prosciutto ($16). It is tasty and fresh without being exceptional – more good homely food than fancy-pants brunch. There’s a focus on local produce in the cafe kitchen as well as in the larder stocks.
The coffee comes from Melbourne’s Coffee Supreme and Off Grid Coffee Roasters in Gisborne.

Afterwards, we wander around the store, picking up a few kitchen bits and bobs, and then head outside to explore the miniature vines on the side of the building.
