Award-winning international pastry chefย Pierrick Boyer, opens his eponymous cafรฉ ‘Reverie Cafe by Pierrick Boyer‘ at 31 Izett Street, Prahran with a stylish fit out byย ZWEI Interiors Architecture.
Reverie Cafe by Pierrick Boyer is an excellent new addition to the Chapel Street precinct, offering style and substance for your next brunch or catch up. The site is just a five-minute walk from Prahran Market and entry is via a generous sweeping ramp making the venue accessible to all.
Turn left for the kitchen and retail space containing treats to gift colleagues, carers and loved ones like the range of candles Pierrick has created in collaboration withย Soy Ivy Melbourne.
Prior to opening his own cafรฉ patisserie, Pierrick Boyer was the Executive Pastry Chef at the RACV Club. For over a decade he created pastries and sweet treats for the Club and grateful city workers. So bien sรปr, at Reverie Cafe by Pierrick Boyerย there are the perfectly-executed pastries one would expect from an award-winning pastry chef.
We turn right and park our pram at the edge of the curved shared tables tiled in millennial pink and edged with brass.ย ZWEI Interiors Architecture has created a bright and stylish space, featuring hospitable curves that are reminiscent of the curve in Pierrickโs branding that can be seen on his packaging.

Functionally the space works; we are relieved to see that there is ample room for staff and patrons to still get around our Mountain Buggy!
At the time of our visit, there are three prams in total and we are each seated comfortably apart. Iโd bring a carrier if I were to catch up with my whole New Parentsโ Group; only because I anticipate this venue will be very popular!
A new parent himself, Pierrick ensures that parents are comfortable in this space, which he hopes will be a casual and comfortable place to seek refuge and something delicious. A change table is in the works.
As well as pastries and cakes, the food menu created by Head Chef Bradley Pearce also features a burger (made with a brioche bun) which turns our heads as it makes its way to an adjoining table.
My companion and I share a ham and cheese croissant but it feels like it needs a little something extra; then we discover the genius of the menuโs side dishes. There are a series of delicious vegetarian (and also some vegan) side dishes that sound so appetising we cannot resist; this time a serve of the halloumi that has been drizzled with a magical concoction of orange syrup. It is sublime and has us smacking our lips and promising ourselves to come back again soon for more!
The cafรฉ backs on to Grattan Gardens which features a gated park that Baby Explorer enjoys visiting.
Reverie Cafe by Pierrick Boyer is open for brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. It is pram-friendly and contains a kitchen (check out the schedule of cooking classes for adults and children), retail space and modern Aussie cafรฉ that cleverly caters to omnivores, vegetarians and even vegans; and in true Pierrick style- all in perfect harmony.
New sites are coming soon across Melbourne too! Look out for Doncaster opening mid-June 2019 and Melbourne Central opening late June 2019.
