A vibrant two-day celebration of children’s literature, the Kids Book Fest brings together Australia’s best authors and illustrators for a packed program of workshops, storytelling, and live events.

Bookworms (ages 5-8) and Page-turners (ages 8-13) workshops run across both days, alongside the Festival Hub featuring book signings, face painting, and Aussie wildlife meet and greets, with highlights including Battle of the Illustrators and the Grand Finale, Ask Andy Anything with Andy Griffiths.

Taking place Friday 2 – Saturday 3 October 2026, with registration from 10:30am and workshops running 11am to 3pm each day.

Tickets $30 per day or $50 for a full festival pass. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times, no ticket required for accompanying adults.
