Win $1,000 for designing the next Youth myki!

The Youth myki Design Competition is back for 2026! All Victorians aged 5 to 17 are invited to design the next Youth myki.

If you’ve got a fridge covered in masterpieces, this is your child’s chance to see their art travel far, in the hands of young people across the state.

Youth myki Design Competition 2026 by Transport Victoria

Whether it’s hand-drawn or digital, we’re looking for original, creative designs that capture the spirit of young Victorians.

Entries close Sunday 2 August 2026.

All competition details can be found on the Engage Victoria website.

In case you haven’t heard under 18s can now travel free on all public transport in Victoria with a Youth myki. Buy a Youth myki online at transport.vic.gov.au or in person at staffed stations and selected retail outlets.

Transport Victoria has recently introduced contactless payment options across the tram network and at train stations where myki is accepted. These options are currently available for full fare customers only. If you accidentally tap on with a phone or bank card, wait around 30 seconds and tap off using the same device to avoid being charged.
