Explore defiant expressions of the heart at State Library Victoria in this free exhibition celebrating the true stories of romance’s rebels, from the past to the present.
Soul-baring letters, intimate diaries, and rare manuscripts from the library’s extraordinary archive are amplified by powerful new music commissions, spanning same-sex couples in the Victorian era, mid-century marriages at odds with the White Australia policy, and love across borders and online.
On display daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm at State Library Victoria, running until Wednesday 27 January 2027.
