HOT: Smash Lunch Boxes & Food Storage Containers

When Lady AB started school I found out that the school had a โ€˜nude foodโ€™ policy. What the heck is nude food??

Smash Lunch Box 4

Iโ€™ve received a fast education into nude food when I was provided with a range of Smash EnterprisesNude Food Movers to test-run. Their range of reusable plasticware is all about eliminating all unnecessary packaging and wrapping that goes into carrying and storing food to go.

I also like that these containers subtly encourage people to bring and make their own nutritious lunches and snacks by providing storage solutions that keep food fresh and tasty. No more soggy sandwiches! Best of all the most expensive lunchbox is only $20.

We test run two Rubbish Free lunch boxes, the standard and mini version. Both of them have various sized compartments (with removable dividers) to suit different sorts of food, a divider to keep sandwiches separate or away from a frozen block, plus two separate removable lidded containers for more wet items like cut-up fruit or corn.

I like how everything fits neatly together into a single, easy to carry package and the hinged lids mean no more lost lids! The lunch boxes can be stored in the stretchy neoprene Cool Skin for extra insulation.

I pair the lunchbox with a Nude Food Cutlery Mover, a compact set of full-sized cutlery, for eating on the go.

I also really like the Nude Food Yoghurt Mover. My kids love yoghurt as a snack and Iโ€™ve been grappling with how to serve it cold away from home.

The Nude Food Yoghurt Mover has a snap leakproof lid, an internal suction seal, a spoon holder and a removable gel insert you can put in the freezer overnight to keep the yoghurt cold.

We also take our Snack Tubes Triple everywhere as they’re a fun and easy way to store and carry a range of snacks.

Smash Lunch Box 1

Since our introduction to Smash Entreprises‘ food storage products in 2015 we are still using those same Smash containers and lunchboxes! Over the years we’ve added to our collection with new and improved products. I like the Smash products because they’re durable, easy to clean, easy for kids to open, highly functional with lots of compartment sizes and very reasonably priced.

Smash Lunch Box 10

For back to school 2020 their Coles limited edition range features Smash’s latest innovations in lunch gear including the brand new Hydrid Ring Pull Lunch Box, The Bento Safe Lunch Box, The Fridge Tent Insulated Lunch Bag and the Cyclone Drink Bottle

Smash Lunch Box 9

There’s a format to suit everyone, from individual containers to all-in-one insulated bento-style lunchboxes. For instance, I like the Hydrid Ring Pull Lunch Box for its deep main compartment for large lunch items and lidded container for wetter items.

Smash Lunch Box 11

The Bento Safe Lunch Box uses a similar layout, with the main compartment separated into two shallower levels. Overall its capacity is smaller and I like the easy-to-open clip-lock.

Smash Lunch Box 7

The Bento Bite Lunch Box is good for a large variety of snacks rather than one main item eg sandwich with other bits, as none of the compartments fit a large item. You can fit an ice brick underneath the main compartment too.

Smash Lunch Box 6

The silicon seals mean that the whole structure is leakproof but not watertight, so I suggest keeping really watery/wet items such as watermelon or yoghurt in the lidded pot.

Smash Lunch Box 8

The Fridge Tent Insulated Lunch Bag has two removable ice packs on each side of the wall. I think is more suitable for drink bottles and other tall, narrow items rather than a lunch box which should ideally sit horizontally. Great for going to sports games and keeping drinks cold!

Smash Lunch Box 2

Smash Enterprises‘ lunchboxes, food storage containers and drink bottles can help you to save the planet one lunch at a time by reducing packaging (especially wrappers, foils and plastic), re-using food storage containers and recycling waste. All the components are dishwasher and freezer safe and all products are BPA free and food safe.

Different parts of the full range are available from major retailers including Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Kmart, Target, Spotlight and Officeworks – visit your local store or online to check out what’s available near you.
