Groovy Tunes Workshop child and father with Kofi playing instuments.JPG

Join master drummer and multi-instrumentalist Kofi Kunkpe in a joyful music and movement workshop. Originally from Cape Coast, Ghana, Kofi is a keeper of his culture who is passionate about sharing the songs, dances, and rhythms of West Africa.

You and your child will groove together, try out some pint-sized percussion, and learn songs you can take home to continue the musical exploration.

  • This workshop has some amplified sound.

Accessibility (including allergies)

There’s step-free access and the room is on the ground floor. There is an accessible bathroom, with a baby change.

A breakout space is available on the upstairs mezzanine where you can take some time away as needed. The program space and the mezzanine are not separated by a wall, so light and sound will travel. You can watch what is happening in the program from here.

If you have any questions about accessibility or want to share anything about your access needs (including allergies) beforehand, please email artplay@melbourne.vic.gov.au or call 03 9658 7880.
